For 120 participants, Deloitte was looking for an energizing activity after a content-heavy session. The Soapbox Grand Prix combined creativity, teamwork, and friendly competition.

Client: Deloitte
Activity: Soapbox Grand Prix
Number of participants: 120
Location: Wolvenbos Estate
Theme: outdoor, fun, teamwork, creativity, competition
Deloitte was looking for a teambuilding activity that would re-energize participants after a content-heavy session. The activity had to be outdoors, accessible to different profiles, and above all encourage interaction.
Not a passive closing session, but something with movement, creativity, and a clear wow factor.
The choice fell on a Soapbox Grand Prix at Wolvenbos Estate.
Teams got to work building and finishing their own soapbox. This required much more than just practical skills. They had to think about construction, task division, design, presentation, and race strategy. Some participants focused on building, others on the creative concept, the pitch, or the racing tactics.
This made the format especially strong for a diverse group. Everyone could contribute in their own way. Competition created energy, but teamwork within the groups determined how strong the final soapbox became.
The event ended with the race: noise, cheering, excitement, and lots of fun. Exactly the right energy after a content-filled day.
What stayed with them
Deloitte experienced an outdoor teambuilding that brought different talents into play. Participants built, presented, raced, and shared a day that clearly felt different from a regular meeting.
