Franki Foundation started the year with a multilingual Chain Reaction.
For 160 participants, Franki Foundation organized a kick-off at La Cense d’Herbecq. Chain Reaction combined collaboration, energy and multilingual facilitation.

Client: Franki Foundation
Activity: Chain Reaction
Number of participants: 160
Location: La Cense d’Herbecq
Languages: Dutch, French and English
Context: kick-off
Franki Foundation wanted to start the new year with a moment that energised the entire group. Not just a presentation or a formal kick-off, but something where colleagues would truly work together.
The choice fell on Chain Reaction.
The group of 160 participants was divided into teams. Each team built a section of a large chain reaction. It sounds simple, but the challenge only works when teams look beyond their own part. Every component has to be correct and connect to what comes before and after.
That’s what makes Chain Reaction so powerful for a kick-off. The activity is fun and creative, but it also delivers a clear message: collaboration means alignment, testing, improving and keeping the bigger picture in mind.
For Franki Foundation, there was an additional layer: the group was multilingual. Moodmaker facilitated the event in Dutch, French and English, ensuring everyone could follow and feel involved. In an activity like Chain Reaction, this makes a huge difference. The briefing needs to be clear, but after that, it’s all about doing. People build, test, laugh and help each other move forward.
The highlight came at the end, when all elements came together and the chain reaction was set in motion. A visible final moment that literally and figuratively connected the group.
What stayed with them
The kick-off didn’t feel like a mandatory start-of-year moment, but like a shared experience. Participants worked in three languages towards one result and ended the day full of energy.
