Team building at Brouwerij St.Bernardus in Watou, Ypres

At St.Bernardus Brewery in Watou you work on the spot where the Westvleteren trappist beers were brewed under licence from 1946 to 1992. Today it has a visitor centre opened in 2018, a hop field right next to the brewery and the Westhoek all around. For a meeting or team day there are four adjoining rooms, Evariste, Bernadette, Yolande and Cécile, which you use separately or together. That is where we set up a team building: in Cake Factory each team runs a bakery that gets smoother round after round, and Snap the Moment has each team make a short stop-motion film. The Brewery Tour with tasting and a lunch or dinner in Bar Bernard, with a 360° view over the hop fields, round off the day. For the night, Guesthouse Brouwershuis, the house where the St.Bernardus story began, has 11 rooms for up to 30 people, with a breakfast buffet. That makes a two-day team building in the Westhoek feasible for a team of that size.
